I love a great latte and Fall has me craving a little pumpkin and spice. Creating my own pumpkin spice latte means I make it just the way I like, and with only real ingredients-- try my recipe below as a starting point and then adjust, if you'd like, to your taste by adding and/or reducing the spice or sweetener.
1 Heaping Tablespoon of pumpkin puree
1/2 Tablespoon maple syrup
3/4 teaspoon pumpkin spice
whole nutmeg (to zest as a topping)
3/4 cup oat milk (or your choice of milk)
2-3 espresso shots OR 1 cup of strong black coffee
In a small sauce pan, warm oat milk with pumpkin puree, maple syrup and spice.
Wisk ingredients and continue to warm over medium heat.
Once hot, turn off stove stop and use a hand held frother to get it all nice and foamy (or transfer to another frother if that's what you have).
Pour coffee into a heated mug and then add the frothed oat milk.
zest whole nutmeg over the top for an extra yummy kick and beautiful accent to the coffee.
